Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

image

So yeah, That was me while reading Code Name Verity.

I have two weeks. You’ll shoot me at the end no matter what I do.
That’s what you do to enemy agents. It’s what we do to enemy agents. But I look at all the dark and twisted roads ahead and cooperation is the easy way out. Possibly the only way out for a girl caught red-handed doing dirty work like mine — and I will do anything, anything, to avoid SS-Hauptsturmführer von Linden interrogating me again.
He has said that I can have as much paper as I need. All I have to do is cough up everything I can remember about the British War Effort. And I’m going to. But the story of how I came to be here starts with my friend Maddie. She is the pilot who flew me into France — an Allied Invasion of Two.
We are a sensational team.

I was gutted after finishing it, and I'm still gutted (and it's been a month). I can't find a way to tell you the story without spoiling it for you, but know this: This is the most genius novel I've read this year and you'll be missing out a lot if you don't read this book.It might wrench your heart, make you cry a river, shock you to hell (even make you laugh), but its worth those bucket-full of tears you just cried.

READ THIS. READ THIS. READ THIS.(and join me in the suffering)

The Blood Of Olympus cover reveal

WE HAVE A COVER!!!!!! AND A SUMMARY!!!!!!!!! I'm DYING of excitement. This (heroes of Olympus) is right after Harry Potter in my all time favorite series', so you can guess how I'm feeling right now... and just look at it! IT"S BEAUTIFUL. There's Hazel, Jason (why?) and Frank and those giants who are taking way too much space on the cover. I just wished Percy, Leo or Annabeth would've been there. Anyways this is awesome.
Now, the summary..
Though the Greek and Roman crew members of the "Argo II" have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen-all of them, and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood-the blood of Olympus-in order to wake.
The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it "might" be able to stop a war between the two camps.
The Athena Parthenos will go west; the "Argo II" will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.

But there's still 5 MONTHS left
Merida Oh No Why?
Somehow, the ending of House of Hades was even worse than Mark of Athena. (In terms of making me detrimentally excited for the next book)

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles III)

Could this series get any better? HELL NO! If you still haven't picked this up, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? leave this place right now and get. the. book.
I mean.....
“Maybe there isn't such a thing as fate. Maybe it’s just the opportunities we’re given, and what we do with them. I’m beginning to think that maybe great, epic romances don’t just happen. We have to make them ourselves.”
13206828 In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.
Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.
When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.
Cress is a retelling of Rapunzel, and once again, is done beautifully. We are introduced to Princess Winter, who is going to be the protagonist of the next (and final) book in the series. We also get to see her love interest, though I'm not spoiling you right now (also, I forgot his name).
I liked Cress much more than "Scarlet" because Cress is such an unique character and Thorne, as always, is awesome. This book also made me like Scarlet and Wolf a tad bit more.
And the main reason...... What else but my shipper feels for Cinder and Kai! I LOVE those two together, and well, the ending just made me soooooo darn happy and satisfied.
This was me after the ending,
Happy Hopping Homer
And then I realised "Winter" is coming out in 2015...
Cry Baby
This gets

That's it,now let me curl up in a corner and continue wailing crying.
